in the beginning of my dream, i was out shopping with my friend, maggie. i found this really cute frog purse that i bought for my mom for $8. i regretted it bc it was expensive and i thought my mom wouldn't like it. we exit the store and i saw my brother and his friend (we were in a giant field and my other friends and classmates were there too), finn who is two years younger than me and i have a crush on. and in my dream i haven't seen him in a while so i ran up to him without thinking (i wanted to stop but it was like i couldn't control my legs) and gave him a hug. he hugged me back but after a few seconds it felt like he became lifeless. i looked up and saw that he became still, almost like they were wax figures. then i decided to go back to the store to go return the gift because i thought it would go back to normal. when i entered the store i saw that the sells person was also frozen and then i ran out of the store and saw that everyone was frozen. i started running down in the field and soon my dream began to break apart and crack. i heard voices and then i came to a stop and hid. i then heard a voice say "you got to let them go."
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and can carry multiple meanings. Here's a breakdown of the elements in your dream and their possible interpretations:
Shopping and the Frog Purse: Shopping can symbolize choices and desires. The frog purse, which you bought for your mom, might represent a desire to please your family or connect with them. The regret you felt after purchasing it could indicate feelings of self-doubt or insecurity about your choices, particularly concerning how you might be perceived by loved ones.
Meeting Finn: Finn represents a contemporary crush and perhaps unexpressed feelings. Rushing to hug him without thinking might signify your eagerness or excitement about these feelings but could also reflect anxiety about being vulnerable or afraid of how he might respond. His becoming lifeless could symbolize a fear of rejection or the pressure you feel in keeping that relationship dynamic alive, possibly indicating that you fear the connection might fade or feels stagnant.
The Frozen State: The freezing of Finn and the others could represent feelings of isolation, disconnection, or the fear that important relationships or moments in your life are not progressing as you wish. This theme of stagnation further reinforces anxieties about change, particularly in relationships that are important to you.
Returning the Gift: Your decision to return the purse symbolizes a longing to rectify mistakes or move away from the choices you feel uncertain about. This action might also indicate that you are seeking to regain control over aspects of your life that feel overwhelming or out of reach.
The Voices and "Let Them Go": The phrase "you got to let them go" suggests a need for acceptance and possibly signifies that you might have to release certain expectations or attachments in your life. This could relate to your family, friends, or even aspects of romantic relationships that aren’t serving you well or that you are holding onto too tightly.
Overall, this dream seems to reflect a mix of your desires, anxieties, and the need to confront certain relationships and emotions in your life. It advises you to embrace change, accept that not all connections will remain as they are, and encourage personal growth and freedom by letting go of things that no longer serve you.
